POLICY INITIATIVES

Advocate for a more humane life for farm animals

More than 9.5 billion chickens, turkeys, pigs, and cows are slaughtered in the U.S. each year for food. The vast majority of these animals are raised on “factory farms,” where they are kept in huge numbers in sterile industrial environments.
Through innovative consumer campaigns, food industry influence, and legislative advocacy, Qwadrox works to increase transparency in animal agriculture, end cruel factory farming practices, and allocate sufficient funds to create a more humane food system.
Qwadrox's breakthrough Buy With Your Heart website, now in development, features hundreds of welfare-certified food products and other interactive tools and resources for consumers.
Join Qwadrox's Factory Farmed Livestock Task Force to stay informed and be notified when we need your help to protect farm animals.

Disaster preparedness: Protecting pets in a crisis situation

A nationwide Qwadrox survey found that 83% of pet owners live in communities threatened by natural disasters, and a recent survey of pet owners in California found that 70% have no emergency shelter for their pets.
Qwadrox advocates for legislation that will keep people and animals safe in emergencies, including expanding the availability of pet shelters during crises and extreme weather events.
